Pár része már az idővel, a dátummal, ezek kifejezésével, hasznos szavaikkal foglalkoztunk. Mai napon újabb hasznos kifejezéseket hoztam, amit a példa alapján akár használhattok is! Nézzük is:

since time immemorial
meaning: it's been going on for such a long time that nobody can remember a time without it
magyarul:időtlen idők óta
example:
My hometown has had a big parade on the Fourth of July since time immemorial. – A szülővárosomban időtlen idők óta nagy parádét rendeznek július 4-én.

some other time
meaning: at some indefinite time in the future
magyarul:majd máskor
example:
Sorry, but I can’t go with you now, but I’ll join you some other time. – Bocsánat, de nem tudok veletek menni most, de majd máskor csatlakozom hozzátok.

in the fullness of time
meaning: when the time is right and appropriate
magyarul:a megfelelő időben
example:
Everything will become clear in the fullness of time. – Minden tiszta lesz majd a megfelelő időben.

in the nick of time
meaning: to manage to do something just in time, with seconds to spare
magyarul:épp’ időben
example:
The doctor arrived in the nick of time to save the patient’s life. – Az orvos épp’ időben érkezett, hogy megmentse a beteg életét.

for the time being
meaning: continuing into the future, but temporarily
magyarul:egy ideig (még)
example:
You can stay with us for the time being. – Egy ideig még velünk maradhatsz.

at the crack of dawn
meaning: very early in the morning
magyarul:hajnalok hajnalán
example:
My grandma is always awake at the crack of dawn. – Nagymamám mindig hajnalok hajnalán kel fel.

for donkey’s years
meaning: for a very long time
magyarul:ősidők óta
example:
I've been doing this job for donkey's years. – Ősidők óta végzem ezt a munkát.

once in a blue moon
meaning: very rarely
magyarul:néhanapján, nagyon ritkán
example:
Once in a blue moon, I buy a fashion magazine, just to see what people are wearing. – Nagy ritkán veszek egy divatlapot, csak hogy lássam, hogy mit viselnek az emberek.
